New website for swissICT
swissICT is the primary representative of the ICT workplace Switzerland and the largest trade association in the industry. swissICT connects more than 2,500 ICT companies, user companies and individuals. The association promotes the exchange of information, bundles needs, publishes the most important salary survey, formulates ICT career profiles and is the co-organizer of the most important IT award “Digital Economy Award”.

Performances of Dream Production
As a leading industry association, swissICT is aware of the digital transformation of its role model. SwissICT commissioned Dream Production to thoroughly modernize its website. The requirements in this project were manifold. The previous website was perceived as confusing, which means that the important focus topics were not recognizable; certain additional features such as the blog section were missing. After all, the website was not responsive, which means that it was not always easy to see and use on all end devices.
Particularly challenging during the project has been the integration of online member administration. The maintenance of the member profiles takes place in another tool named Sewobe (ie outside of WordPress). Dream Production and swissICT have decided to feed in the member data via a Rest API. Until this data transfer really worked, it needed more than a working loop.

Modern design, better overview:
With its new, contemporary design, swissICT ensures that its website visitors receive an overview of the activities and products of the association quickly and in the best possible way. “Sticky Buttons” on the right edge of the screen help to keep track of the most important achievements of the association from every side.
Expert-Listing:
Experts from the specialist groups are clearly better placed and visible on the new website. Experts can maintain the profile themselves in the swissICT member portal.
Blog / Newsroom:
Up-to-dateness is emphasized by the new possibilities with WordPress: The swissICT experts of all specialist and working groups as well as the company members are given the opportunity to position themselves with technical contributions and thus to share relevant knowledge.
Entry for company members:
The company members have the opportunity to create a profile in the members area and to supervise and update this themselves. Thus, the mutual benefit of the large number of company members in the association can be increased.
swissICT is very excited about the new website. The association is already talking to Dream Production about further follow-up projects.
