Integrated website for Careum

In addition to Careum Verlag and the Center for Health Competence, Careum – established as a foundation in 1882 – also includes the subsidiaries Careum Bildungszentrum, Careum Hochschule Gesundheit, Careum Continuing Education and Edubase. Careum is committed to a better healthcare world by training the specialists of tomorrow, providing networking opportunities to stakeholders and promoting innovation.

An appearance for all Careum institutions
Careum is moving closer together: the individual websites of the various institutions are being consolidated so that, in the future, users may discover the Careum world with just one click.

Headless architecture
At the same time, data flows should remain separate. Each institution will continue to serve customers with their own system. We have therefore chosen a headless approach, which means that the website appears to be all of a piece for the user, even though various peripheral systems are in use in the background. Drupal was chosen as the CMS system in which the content of the website is maintained. Two different CRM systems (Tocco and Sendinblue) are also integrated, as is the Shopware e-commerce system for the publisher’s shop.

The website is implemented as a single page application based on Nuxt.js and Vue.js and connected to the CMS via GraphQL. This allows for a smooth user experience and does justice to Careum’s modern brand image.

Further integration steps planned
The website already provides a good overview of the wide range of services offered by the Careum Group. The blog and news are already managed together. In the next step, the offers of the Careum training center and Careum further education will be integrated. The assortment of the publishing house follows at the end.
