Pestalozzi Library Zurich
The new website of the Pestalozzi Library presents itself with a modern, fresh design and an improved structure. Various target groups can efficiently find engagingly presented features and content such as catalog searches or staff picks.
The Pestalozzi Library, with its 14 public locations, is a unique Zurich institution that every Zurich resident knows. The PBZ locations have been modernized in recent years. As part of this modernization, the website was also relaunched with the goal of significantly contributing to a positive Pestalozzi experience. The project was implemented in close collaboration with the design agency MetaDesign and aStec (catalog).
Target Group-Specific Content and Access
A new clear main navigation, animated tiles on the homepage, and an optimized structure help the different target groups find their way quickly.
Existing customers, who handle everyday tasks such as catalog searches, renewals, or payments online, are just as much the focus as people attending events, families, potential customers, and users of the digital library.
Event Calendar with Export
The event calendar offers a clear presentation of the events. Using the filter, events of interest to specific target groups can be quickly found. Additionally, all events are exported via an XML interface from WordPress to https://www.kulturzueri.ch/.
Opening Hours
The new location overview, directly linked with Google Maps, shows each location’s regular opening hours as well as deviations due to renovations or holidays. These opening hours blocks are also displayed on the detail page of each location. Thanks to the Business Hours Indicator Pro plugin in WordPress, opening hours can be managed centrally. Deviations (holidays, public holidays) are automatically displayed correctly everywhere.
